The School of Computer Science and Engineering at Sriram Engineering College organized an industrial visit to Kochi, Kerala on 9th October 2025 for the final year CSE students. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to real-world IT and software development environments, complementing their academic learning.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore leading tech firms and IT parks in Kochi, gaining insights into current industry trends, software development life cycles, cybersecurity practices, and emerging technologies. They also interacted with industry professionals who shared their experiences, project case studies, and career guidance.
The visit offered a valuable platform for students to understand the expectations of the IT industry and the significance of technical and soft skills in professional success.
The experience was both educational and inspiring, offering a broader perspective on career opportunities in the tech sector. The industrial visit was well-organized and appreciated by all participants.
The School of Computer Science Engineering, AI&DS, AIML, CYBER SECURITY & CSBS of Sriram Engineering College organized a one-day industrial visit to RETECH LASER PVT LTD Chennai on 31-01-2025. This Industrial Visit provided an opportunity to learn about Plotbot Plus and Plotbot Pro, LightBurn, GIMP, and Raspberry Pi.
The School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering EEE & ECE at Sriram Engineering College, organized an industrial visit to Retech Lasers Private Limited, Tambaram, on 11th October 2025.
The visit provided students with valuable exposure to laser technologies, their industrial applications, and manufacturing processes. Students witnessed demonstrations of advanced laser systems used in precision cutting, marking, and engraving, and gained insights into control systems, power electronics, and optical engineering involved in laser technology.
Industry professionals at Retech Lasers interacted with the students, explaining real-time applications, safety procedures, and innovations in laser-based manufacturing solutions. This visit bridged the gap between academic concepts and industrial practices, enhancing the students' practical knowledge and industry readiness.

The Students of III Year ECE and EEE of SREC had their Industrial Visit to TANSAM at Tidal Park, Chennai on 24th March 2025. This visit provided valuable hands-on exposure to advanced technologies such as 3D Printing, AR, VR, MR, and Humanoid Robots. Students observed how theoretical concepts are applied in real-world scenarios, bridging the gap between classroom learning and industrial development.
The School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering & Electronics Communication Engineering at Sriram Engineering College organized an insightful industrial visit to the North Chennai Thermal Power Station-II on 6th November 2024. We extend our sincere thanks to the 1999 Batch of Alumni for their generous support, contributing to the students’ enriched learning experiences.
On 23rd September 2022, 45 students from ECE, EEE, Chemical, and Mechanical departments, accompanied by faculty members Mr. Nandakumar (Mech), Mr. Manigandan (Mech), Ms. Sowmiya (Chemical), and Dr. Geetha (ECE), visited Ennore Kamaraj Port for an industrial visit.
The School of Mechanical Engineering at Sriram Engineering College organized an Industrial Visit to Ennore Thermal Power Station – II (ETPS-II) on 20th September 2025. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to thermal power generation processes and enhance their understanding of industrial applications in the field of energy and power systems.
During the visit, students observed the working of high-capacity boilers, turbines, and other auxiliary systems involved in thermal power generation. Plant engineers and technical staff explained various operational aspects, safety protocols, and environmental measures followed at the power station.
This hands-on learning experience helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world industrial practices, enriching the students' academic and professional development.
The visit was highly informative and beneficial, and it was well appreciated by both students and faculty members who accompanied the tour.
The School of Mechanical Engineering organized a one-day industrial visit to Tube Investments of India Limited (TII), Chennai, on 12th March 2025. During this visit, students had the opportunity to learn about the safety measures, production techniques, and advancements in automation and technology within the manufacturing industry.
