Sriram Engineering College, Chennai, in association with the Rotary Club of Organ Donation
International, successfully conducted a motivational talk on “Organ Donation” on 3rd February 2026
at the college auditorium.
The programme was graced by the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, Rtn. Lal Goel, Founder & Charter
President, Rotary Club of Organ Donation International and Chairman, Organ Donation India Foundation
& GYAN. His inspiring address emphasized the importance of organ donation and its life-saving impact
on society.
The event was presided over by Dr. B. R. Ramesh Bapu, Principal, and Dr. P. Mahesh, Professor &
Head, School of Computer Science along with the presence of distinguished guests:

Students and faculty members actively participated in the programme and gained valuable awareness
about the significance of organ donation and humanitarian service. The session created strong
motivation among students to contribute positively to society.
The programme concluded with a message of compassion, responsibility, and commitment towards saving
lives through organ donation.
Mega Blood Donation Camp and Medical Camp

Organized by: NSS & Rotaract Club, Sriram Engineering College
The NSS and Rotaract Club of Sriram Engineering College organized a Medical Camp and Blood
Donation Camp on September 25, 2025 at the college premises. The event aimed to promote health
awareness, encourage blood donation among students and staff, and provide basic health screening
to the college community. Our Principal Dr. B.R. Ramesh Bapu welcomed the doctor team and Rotary
Club members and highlighted the importance of such initiatives for student welfare.
The event was graced by the presence of:
- Mr. Mathivanan (President)
- Mr. K.V. Suresh Kumar (Chairman)
- Mr. R. Vijaya Narayanan (Member)
They appreciated the efforts of the NSS and Rotaract Club for successfully organizing the event.
- Over 50 donors participated actively in the blood donation
drive.
- The collected blood units were handed over to the Thiruvallur
Medical college hospital Blood Bank for use in emergencies and to help save lives.
The medical camp provided health check-ups for all participants. The tests
included:
- Blood Pressure (BP) Measurement
- Blood Sugar Test
- Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Eye Examination
- ENT Check-up
- General Health Consultation
This initiative benefited both students and staff by enabling early detection of health issues.
Around 500 students and staff members actively participated in the camp, availing the free health
check-ups and volunteering for the blood donation drive.
Dr. G. Ganesh, Rotaract Club coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks. He expressed his
gratitude to:

- The Rotary Club members
- The medical team
- All student and staff participants
- Dedicated NSS volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the
event a success.
The Medical Camp and Mega Blood Donation was a great success. It fostered a spirit of social
responsibility among students, improved health awareness, and contributed significantly to
community welfare.
